British Open Royal Birkdale Golf Club
A British Open golf trip to Royal Birkdale Golf Club. Nonetheless, enjoy the North West Coast of England with 5 nights at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Liverpool (Beatles Country!) with 3 rounds of championship golf, tickets to the British Open on 2 days and with all transfers included.
Day One – Wednesday 19th July 2017

Day Two – Thursday 20th July 2017
Golf at Royal Lytham & St. Anne’s – Founded in 1886 and reconstructed in 1897 Royal Lytham & St Annes Golf Club has been the venue to the British Open. Albeit, o less than 11 occasions and along the way there have been some very illustrious names etched onto the famous old Claret Jug Trophy, Bobby Jones in 1926, Bobby Locke in 1952, Peter Thomson in 1958, Seve Ballesteros in 1979 and again in 1988 and most recently ‘The Big Easy’ Ernie Els in 2012. In 2015 it was also the venue to the Walker Cup matches and each year is the venue to the Lytham Trophy one of the top Amateur tournaments in Europe. Day Three – Friday 21st July 2017
Golf at Royal Liverpool – Known locally as Hoylake, the links at Royal Liverpool date back to 1869. As far back as 1885, Hoylake was the venue for the British Amateur Championships. Now, since those days it has also held 12 British Open Championships. Notable, winners include Walter Hagen back in 1924, Bobby Jones in 1930 and more recently Tiger Woods. At the same time, I recall Tiger Woods consistently hitting a 4 iron off the tee winning his 3rd Open Championship in 2006 followed by Rory McIlroy in 2014. The club has also been selected to host the Walker Cup matches in 2019 which will no doubt play a huge part of its 150th-year celebrations. The golf course is one of the best to play. Along with wonderful course conditions during July in England.
