My favourite restaurants are located outside of Lahinch. Definitely, my number one selected restaurant in County Clare is the Wild Honey Inn. Following suits,  although located in Doonbeg, Morrissey Sea Food Bar is another great restaurant to visit. Finally, Vaughans Anchor Restaurant in Liscannor is a fine restaurant also.

Also, there are a number of surf schools and surf classes that one can take if he or she feels the need. Recently, I watch the Ailwee Cave’s Birds of Prey show and I found that to be quite entertaining.

Notably, the sights to see in the Burren region are the Poulnabrone Dolmen and Caherconnell Stone Fort. Also, don’t forget to view the Cliffs of Moher from the top of the cliffs. Whereas, do take a boat from Doolin pier to view the cliffs from the base of cliffs meeting the sea. Clearly, I would suggest taking the boat option on a calm sea day.

There is plenty of Irish music to be found in Lahinch or in the surrounding towns of Doolin and Miltown Malbay. Gus O Connors Pub in Doolin, the 19th Hole, Kennys or Flanagan’s Pub in Lahinch are good places for music and a few pints of stout.  Miltown Malbay is not far from Lahinch and the Central and Hillarys are good pubs for Irish Ceol.

Dooley Noted:

Lahinch Golf Club tends to start off or is the last stop on an Irish Golf Vacation. Mainly, because of the golf course’s close proximity to Shannon Airport or even Dublin Airport. Also, I may strongly point out that Lahinch is one great Irish golf course and, should not be missed. On a final note, I would suggest adding Doonbeg to the list of courses to play when you are situated in Lahinch or in the general area. The course is close by and Doonbeg’s accommodation is of a high standard. Plus Doonbeg offers more services for golfers than most other hotels in Co. Clare.
