Northwest Ireland 2019
Golf Northwest Ireland 2019. The following itinerary is a sample idea for four gents, four ladies or two couples that would like to tour and play golf in the Northwest of Ireland. The courses selected are challenging Irish links courses based along the rugged West of Ireland. Each course is unique and each course is so different from the next. The courses listed on this itinerary are all championship courses to play. I like the vast links land and feel of Carne Links, and the course is right out on the West coast of Ireland. However, each course has its own story, each course will challenge you, and the links courses in the Northwest are all worth playing. One of the most interesting final points that I really love to listen to is the golfer’s stories about each course played.
The golfer’s stories are truly fantastic. I really love to listen to how they played, what shots were played, the weather and, how the weather affected the game, the course and etc. The caddie; what he/she did or did not do! Also, what kind of character the caddy was, any caddy jokes or did the golfers share their life stories with the caddy and vice versa.
Most of the golfers that we deal with tend to use Dublin Aiport for inbound and outbound flights. That is mainly due to more flight options to Ireland in and out of Dublin Airport. Also, Dublin City is a good fun town to start or finish off an Irish Golf Vacation. As mentioned the upside is that there are great golfing experiences to discover on tremendous golf links courses to play in the West and Northwest of Ireland. The downside is that the roadways are not perfect, narrow and longer travel periods than expected. However, the extra travel time offers golfers more time to the view the charming Irish rugged countryside.

The Glass House Hotel is based in the centre of Sligo town and Sligo is a lovely Irish town to visit. Essentially, the hotel location is excellent for getting around town, pubs and evening dining. Followed up by three wonderful nights at Lough Eske Castle for an exceptional fiver star experience to be enjoyed. After golf, ensure to visit the SPA at Loch Eske and treat yourself to a relaxing treatment. Finally, back to Dublin city centre for a nice dinner, relax in a beautiful room at the 5* Merrion Hotel and depart the following morning.
Based on four persons sharing rooms with breakfast, luxury transport, and all four playing golf daily. Notably, each person would expect to pay approximately €3,999.00 per person sharing and approximately €4,800.00 for a single rooms option.
